Data Analyst - Palliative Care & Rehab Med Research

Clinical Data Abstraction:

Abstract and enter information from medical records and research charts into research databases, according to institutional and federal regulations and compliance requirements.

Create and maintain Excel or Qualtrics databases for data abstraction and data entry.

Quality Review of Data:

Ensures relevant clinical data is collected at designated stages in the treatment process.

Performs quality assurance tasks on abstracted and entered data.

Maintains integrity of data collected and identify missing values.

Enters information into coded format as required.

Populates the clinical database(s) and reports information and the appropriate national and/or international registries.

Prepares specific protocol reports and analysis to aid decisions regarding study efficacy.

Corresponds and coordinates with the clinical research team, trial monitors and primary investigators.

Corresponds and coordinates with collaborators and off-site teams for data integrity and query resolutions.

Assist in establishing and maintaining guidelines/SOPs for obtaining and organizing clinical trial data within given deadlines.

Database Maintenance and Special Projects:

Create and maintain Excel or Qualtrics databases for data abstraction and data entry.

Conduct chart audits for data entry.

Implement and update graphs, charts, and other visual aids for data analysis.

Develop pathways for data entry and quality review.

Assist in the development, coordination and training of database entry for the collection

Education Required - Bachelor's degree in Biology, Nursing or related field.

Experience Required - Three years of related experience. Additional years of education may be substituted for experience on a one to one basis.
