Position Available: Medical Billing Specialist for Mental Health Practice

Location: Downtown Brooklyn, New York

Currently, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes.

Responsibilities: As a Medical Billing Specialist with our practice, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

Managing billing for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance Claims, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Proficiently generating comprehensive billing reports to facilitate informed financial decision-making.
Diligently posting payments and meticulously recording financial transactions for precise bookkeeping.
Thoroughly reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to validate payment accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Skillfully reconciling claim denials, resolving billing conflicts, and maintaining optimal reimbursement rates.
Conducting meticulous verification of patient payments and insurance eligibility.

Qualifications: Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED, demonstrating a foundational level of education.
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in medical billing, reflecting a strong understanding of billing intricacies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, showcasing adeptness in data entry and analysis.

Additional Information:

Job Type: This is a full-time hybrid position, requiring two days in the office and commitment to a standard 40-hour workweek.
Salary Range: Compensation for this position ranges between $20.00 and $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and expertise.
