Location: Westbrook, Maine

Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Type: Full-Time

Overview: Westbrook Schools is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join the educational team, aiding students with speech, language, and communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment results.
Provide therapy sessions for students' speech and language needs.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff for comprehensive student support.
Maintain detailed records of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress.
Participate in team meetings and offer professional insights.
Perform screenings and consultations as required.
Stay updated on research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Offer training and resources on speech and language development.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current license in the state of Maine.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Maine Department of Education certification for Speech-Language Pathologists.
Knowledge of special education regulations.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in a school setting preferred.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

Maine State License: Valid license to practice speech-language pathology in Maine.
ASHA Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
Maine Department of Education Certification: Certification for Speech-Language Pathologists.
