- Drive hardware device architecture and roadmap across company. Ensuring hardware meets the needs of executive team, supply chain team, customer success team, field team, product teams and software teams.
- Fully own technology transfer to manufacturing, resolving all manufacturability issues, manufacturing testing development, process development and documentation.
- Drive proof of concept hardware development and develop business and usage cases for next generation technologies.
- Drive the resolution of all customer and field team hardware issues including tracking and monitoring installation and customer issues leading the root cause investigations through the final technology implementation.
- Drive the development of next generation hardware products.
- Lead a multi-functional team of 6+ hardware and firmware engineers, ensuring all tasks are identified, executed, and completed
- Responsible for coordinating schedules and ensuring sufficient resources to meet deadlines, while maintaining successful budget execution.
- Providing clear communication to both internal and external team members as well as executive management
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required; MBA or other Master's degree is preferred but not required
- 7+ years' experience in hardware engineering
- 4+ years experience in PCB layout
- 5+ years' experience managing a team
- Experience working with IoT devices
- Experience working with firmware engineering teams, firmware engineering experience strongly preferred
- Extensive knowledge of board-level electronics and electrical systems
- Demonstrated systems engineering full lifecycle experience
- Strong team collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience as both a technical leader and individual contributor in systems integration
- Strong project management skills, certification(s) preferred but not required
- Excellent technical writing, forecasting, and budgeting skills

Director of Hardware Engineering
will be a part of the Hardware team and lead a team of Hardware and Firmware Engineers on current and next generation product development.
