    Description


    Our client, a leading private equity firm based in Greenwich, CT with a satellite office in New York City is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team.


    The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining general ledger and fund accounting database for various fund entities; review work prepared by fund administrator for the recent funds; respond to investor inquiries; ensure reporting deadlines are met; assist with tax allocations and reconciliations as well as with any special projects.


    Responsibilities:
    Maintain general ledger and fund accounting database
    Review workpapers prepared by fund administrator
    Coordinate with fund administrator to ensure a smooth quarterly close
    Review financials prepared by fund administrator
    Assist in quarterly and annual financial reporting process
    Assist with the implementation of new accounting system, including uploading and reviewing data between systems
    Responsible for reviewing/preparing partner correspondence - including partner data requests, audit confirmations and maintaining log of inquiries
    Assist in drawdown and distribution process
    Ensure compliance with partnership agreement
    Assist with special projects and presentations as required


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, prior fund accounting experience a plus
    Demonstrates ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
    Proven ability to work well in and contribute to a team environment
    Has excellent attention to detail, and executes responsibilities with a sense of urgency and follow-through
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    Knowledge of Allvue a plus


    The compensation for this position ranges from $150, $175, Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual's qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
