    Job Description and Duties

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team.


    Are you self-motivated? Independent? Under the direction of the Enforcement Chief, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) / Staff Services Analyst (SSA) performs various analytical duties for the enforcement division.

    The AGPA / SSA must excel as a team player and be cooperative and open-minded when working with others.

    Working Conditions


    The incumbent is expected to work 40 hours per week throughout the year and may be required to work specified hours based on the business needs of the office.


    To meet with enforcement staff throughout California, the incumbent will travel throughout the state, usually three to four times per year.

    Travel may be for one or several consecutive days. The incumbent must possess a valid driver's license, drive safely, and adhere to all road laws.


    When participating in enforcement sting and sweep operations, the incumbent may occasionally work under difficult conditions and be exposed to extremes in temperature, high noise levels, storage containers, and large vehicle.


    The incumbent must exercise excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, sound judgment, initiative, independence, accuracy in performing tasks, and handle multiple priorities and deadlines while working cooperatively with others.

    This is a CORI sensitive position. To perform the duties of this position, the employee must have fingerprint clearance.


    Title 11, section 703(d) California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI).

    Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring.

    In accordance to DCA's CORI procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position.

    The incumbent must possess a valid driver's license, drive safely, and adhere to all road laws.


    The position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and/or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals or to sensitive program matters at all times.

    • Successful experience in an enforcement program compiling statistics and reviewing performance for reports and presentations.
    • Experience auditing and training staff on data entry, such as issuing citations, making notes for case files, and transmitting information to the Attorney General's Office.
