The Governor's Office of Planning and Research (OPR) is recruiting to fill one (1) limited term fulltime Associate Governmental Program Analyst position within the Executive Office.
This is a 12-month limited term position with the possibility of being extended to a maximum of 24-months and/or may become permanent.
Under direction of the Director of the Office of Planning and Research (OPR), the Executive Analyst will serve as lead support for the Director and Undersecretary, is responsible for various administrative and analytical tasks, including developing, establishing, and implementing procedures and protocols to support administrative, logĂstical and personnel activities, preparing confidential and sensitive correspondence, coordinating for executive leadership and the organizational-wide events, meeting design preparation and facilitation, and staff support services; consistently exercise a high level of initiative, independence, and originality in performing assigned tasks including research of facts on which decisions or recommendations may be based.

Working Conditions

All OPR employees must reside in California upon appointment.
***- OPR is located in Sacramento, directly across from the State Capitol.
- Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods.
- Standard office environment (artificial lighting, controlled temperature, etc.)
- Daily use of personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.

The Office of Planning and Research (OPR) serves the Governor and his Cabinet as staff for long-range planning and research and constitutes the comprehensive state planning agency.

OPR's budget programs include State Planning and Policy Development, Strategic Growth Council, California Volunteers, Office of Community Partnership and Strategic Communication, Racial Equity Commission, and Youth Empowerment Commission.
