    Behavior Coach




    Purpose:
    The Behavior Coach plays a pivotal role in collaborating with the principal and community liaison to implement the school's behavior programs. This position involves understanding and addressing the various challenges faced by today's diverse student body, with a primary focus on supporting academic achievement and personal/social development. In a nutshell, the Behavior Coach strives to cultivate a positive school environment by working closely with the principal, community liaison, behavioral health providers, nurse, staff, students, and parents.


    Essential Performance Responsibilities
    Key responsibilities of the SunBridge Success Coach encompass, but are not restricted to, the following:

    • Supports the development, execution, and assessment of intervention programs tailored to meet the needs of at-risk students.
    * -Participates in RTI meetings and parent discussions regarding behavior issues.

    • Acts as a mentor for students, facilitating reflective exercises such as think sheets and providing conflict resolution coaching.
    • Serves as a valuable resource for staff in implementing behavior management strategies.
    • Assists in the implementation of initiatives aimed at fostering positive student behavior and intervention techniques (PBIS).
    • Guides staff and parents in establishing and comprehending student behavioral expectations.
    * -Carries out additional assigned tasks.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Demonstrated ability to address conflicts through effective decision-making and problem-solving.
    • Builds and sustains collaborative relationships with others.
    • Interacts with students respectfully while enforcing a constructive disciplinary system.
    • Exemplifies district standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.
    • Adheres to schedules and deadlines.
    • Analyzes and interprets behavioral data to create and adjust disciplinary procedures and interventions.
    • Executes directives consistently.
    • Holds CPI certification and fulfills all necessary documentation.

    • Exhibits a drive for achieving results; demonstrates a track record of enhancing student performance in classroom and/or school settings.
    • Maintains a positive demeanor and shows empathy.
    • Self-motivated; embraces constructive criticism as a tool for personal growth.
    • Possesses excellent communication and organizational abilities.
