- Our client is a Boston based Real Estate management firm with over 40 years of acquiring and managing residential real estate
- High visibility reporting directly to the Head of Equity Fund Accounting & Reporting and managing a small team of direct reports

- Preparation and review of monthly financial statements and supporting materials for accuracy and reasonableness, consolidation and elimination entries, and reconciliations
- Oversee the fund accounting department for a portfolio of equity investments, properties, including supervision of the daily workflow of the accounting staff, routine and non-routine assignments, and monthly financial statement close process
- Responsible for the management of the external audit process
- Liaison with property management at remote locations as well as various departments within the company
- Responsible for monthly accounting close of various equity investments, properties, including variance reporting
- Reviews equity investment and property budgets and forecasts
- perform REIT testing on a quarterly basis
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, MBA or CPA preferred
- 5+ years experience in real estate accounting
- Detail oriented with strong communication skills
- Strong MS Excel and Yardi skills
