    Description

    Maintenance Technician 1 manages the daily engineering operations at the lodge. Responsibilities include project management, life safety, ordering, and vendor collaboration. Tasked with performing preventive maintenance and repairs across guestrooms, public areas, equipment, buildings, and grounds.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
    • Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
    • Test, troubleshoot, and undertake basic repairs on various equipment types, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items.
    • Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts utilizing approved communication methods.
    • Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently, following safety standards and equipment guidelines.
    • Maintain knowledge of departmental safety procedures, attend safety-training programs for ongoing development.
    • Keep service records on mechanical and structural systems up to date.
    • Enforce standard procedures for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping, and safety. Ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
    • Perform other duties assigned by the Assistant Director of Engineering.

    Qualifications:

    • Technical Degree
    • Technical Training
    • Trade Related Certifications
    • Experience in Hospitality, Healthcare, or related industries
    • Preferred certifications in HVAC and/or Electrical fields
    • Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier items with help. Capable of working at heights up to 50 feet using ladders, harnesses, and lifts.
    • Proficient in computer skills, including database software, internet tools, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
    • Hold a Valid Driver's License
