- Support the design of new products and refine existing ones, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and adherence to specifications.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation using CAD software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, fabrication, sales) to ensure projects move smoothly from concept to production.
- Research and select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing methods based on cost, performance, and design requirements.
- Prepare and analyze test data to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop prototypes and conduct hands-on testing as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, standards, and new technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a closely related field.
- 2+ years of relevant product design or engineering experience.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, etc.).
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or other simulation tools.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturing principles (DFM).
