    SUMMARY

    The Manager, Detailed Scheduling is responsible for directing and managing activities at the sites (by technology, platform, etc.) as it pertains to detailed scheduling impacting the facility. This role manages the Detailed Scheduling and Supply Chain Specialist teams, activities, and processes, to ensure optimized short-term detail schedules for assigned packaging lines and release of work orders to meet predetermined timing. Partners cross-functionally to execute successfully against the detail schedules. Confirms that both commercial and non-commercial activities are governed, prioritized, and sequenced to optimize the efficiencies of the lines. Acts as the systems and process expert for detailed scheduling systems.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Plans and prepares detailed schedules for operations and ensures pre-production readiness through subordinates.
    • Develops and implements detailed scheduling policies, standards, guidelines, technology, and procedures.
    • Responsible for short term capacity planning.
    • Ensures plans are feasible (can be met) within stated process parameters.
    • Leads team to manage site constraints and deviations from schedule; partners cross functionally to mitigate impact and communicates / escalates accordingly.
    • Manages detailed scheduling and sets clear performance standards to hold people accountable for results, deliver customer service goals, optimize investments, and meet production requirements.
    • Provides clear leadership for team. Develops, coaches, and guides Detailed Schedulers and Supply Chain Specialists in the execution and realization of functional and company goals, optimizing overall group effectiveness and business impact.
    • Analyzes and identifies opportunities to improve capacity utilization and line efficiency.
    • Creates and updates detailed training documents as necessary.
    • Facilitates consistent and strong communication between Detailed Scheduling, Master Production Planning, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations.
    • Owns development, implementation and changes to the Detailed Schedule.
    • Participates as key contributor to T-21 Pre-production readiness meeting, and other cross-functional meetings and forums as needed.
    • Ownership of the firm fence.
    • Owns and monitors detailed scheduling Key Performance Indicators and implements solutions to improve the metrics.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This role will have 5-10 direct reports.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a specialization in Supply Chain or related field required and 7-10 years of relevant experience required. Master's Degree is desired. Related experience and/or education may be considered.
    • Experience with ERP & Advanced Planning Systems is required.
    • Supply Chain Certification (APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar / IBF) and Green Belt Six Sigma Certification desirable.
    • Planning or manufacturing experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or Contract Manufacturing or Packaging.
    • Personal skills, confidence and teamwork attitude needed to effectively interface with the other functional areas of the company on a matrix basis.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
    • Fluent in English.
    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND REASONING ABILITY
    • Experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or Contract Manufacturing or Packaging.
    • Strong leadership and strategic thinking, enterprise mindset; anticipates risks, can successfully navigate ambiguity.
    • Ability to develop, coach and lead a team in the execution, strategies, and realization of departmental and company goals.
    • Demonstrates strong business acumen, financial literacy, and decision-making ability in a multiple scenario environment.
    • Ability to build strong collaborative teams and relationships while considering diverse perspective and styles.
    • Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms.
    • Ability to challenge the status quo and evaluate processes to determine if refinements would enhance speed of results and productivity or quality &/or Ability to work with Continuous Improvement tools.
    • Ability to perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action solutions including follow through on action item completion.
    • Strong soft skills including high emotional intelligence.
    • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
