Position Overview:


The Administrative Assistant for Home Healthcare is a key member of our team, tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks and support functions.

This role requires combining expertise in administrative assistance with exceptional organizational skills to help deliver efficient and effective home healthcare services.


Key Responsibilities:

Documentation and Record-Keeping:


  • Maintain accurate and wellorganized client records, including assessments, care plans, progress notes, and case documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and agencyspecific requirements.
  • Protect the confidentiality and security of client records.

Scheduling and Coordination:


  • Schedule and coordinate home healthcare visits and appointments for clients and healthcare providers.
  • Facilitate clear communication among clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure timely care.
  • Manage and optimize the scheduling system to improve resource allocation.

Billing and Insurance Support:


  • Verify insurance details, process claims, and handle billing inquiries.
  • Work closely with the billing department to ensure all billing is accurate and submitted on time.

Referrals and Resource Coordination:


  • Assist in referrals to social services, other agencies, or community resources as necessary.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of community resources for easy reference.
  • Help clients access additional support services outside of home healthcare.

Communication and Documentation:


  • Act as a liaison among clients, families, healthcare providers, and the administrative team.
  • Prepare and distribute necessary reports, summaries, and communication materials.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed about the client's care plan and progress.

Quality Assurance:


  • Collaborate with the clinical team to monitor the quality of care provided.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute data for evaluations and audits.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to enhance care quality.

Compliance and Regulations:


  • Stay updated on relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with healthcare standards through audits and accreditation processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in administrative roles within healthcare, preferably in home healthcare.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and administrative skills.
  • Proficient in office software, electronic health records (EHR), and scheduling systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail with a high standard of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated compassion and empathy towards home healthcare clients.

Role Summary:


The Administrative Assistant for Home Healthcare is crucial in supporting both the administrative and coordination aspects of home healthcare services.

This role ensures clients receive the care, resources, and support they need while maintaining compliance with regulations and facilitating effective communication between all parties involved.


Pay:
$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
