    Description

    We are currently seeking a committed and knowledgeable Accounting Manager to join our esteemed restaurant group client in Chicagoland. The ideal candidate will be in charge of organizing and overseeing all financial information and reports, as well as supporting senior management with finance-related matters for the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Day-to-day supervision of finance operations for prompt handling of cash management, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable tasks.
    • Ensuring efficient and accurate month-end closing processes.
    • Adhering to financial reporting deadlines and collaborating with teams to meet deliverables.
    • Posting journals for precise P&L and Balance Sheet records.
    • Analyzing P&L accounts monthly and providing commentaries.
    • Conducting reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and addressing any discrepancies.
    • Delivering timely and accurate reports to the business.
    • Effectively managing cash flow and working capital.
    • Performing necessary analyses at a Group level as requested by key stakeholders.
    • Supporting audit procedures when needed.
    • Establishing documented accounting policies and procedures.
    • Supervising the accounting department's operations and ensuring a suitable structure is in place to achieve its objectives.
    • Managing accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, focusing on control systems, transaction processing, and policies.
    • Ensuring compliance with government reporting and tax filing requirements.
    • Serving as a subject matter expert for business partner relations and local finance inquiries.
    • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of brand operations and applying this knowledge to finance processes, performance metrics, and project leadership.
    • Identifying and pursuing opportunities for operational efficiencies, process enhancements, and cost savings.
    • Evaluating the use of accounting software and automation tools to improve workflow efficiency.
    • Contributing to team objectives and metrics while supporting company-wide goals.
    • Collaborating effectively with the accounting team, finance department, and other organizational departments.
    • Working with the Group Finance Manager to introduce process and system improvements.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (MBA preferred)
    • 5 - 10 years of accounting experience.
    • Prior experience in accounting within the restaurant or hospitality industry
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and payroll tools.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Offering a base salary range of $100,000-$110,000+ DOE
