Position Overview

TDI Technology

Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI)is responsible for implementing the bank's technology strategy focused on strengthening engineering expertise, introducing an agile delivery model, reducing administrative overheads, de-coupling assets within our IT estate for faster, cheaper deployment, as well as modernizing the bank's IT infrastructure with long-term investments and benefiting from cloud computing.

Goal is to deploy technology and digital solutions in a substantially more comprehensive manner across the bank.

Your Role

An Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering elements of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Awareness is expected of the important engineering principles of the Bank. Root cause analysis skills are developed through addressing enhancements and fixes to products. They attempt to build reliability and resiliency into solutions through early testing, peer reviews and automating the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Contributes and adheres to the definition of development and SW standards to implement/reflect DB guidelines (naming conventions, encryption, and security settings)
Ensures architectural changes (as defined by Architects) are implemented
Develops source code, including descriptions, for all software Components in accordance with Detailed Software Requirements specification, the functional design and the technical design document or backlog
Verifies integrated software components by unit and integrated software testing according to the software test plan. Software test findings must be resolved
Ensures that all code changes are tracked and recorded through the groups change management process and that development is scheduled and approved
Provides Release Deployments on non-Production Management controlled environments
Capture Build and Deployment notes, develop Software Product Deployment & Operating Instructions
Provides Level 3 support for technical infrastructure components (i.e., databases, middleware and user interfaces)
Contributes to root cause /problem analysis
Fixes software defects/bugs and responsible for code quality and ensure zero-defect in their code
Collaborates with Functional Analysts and technical Specialists to complete work, as required

Your Skills And Qualifications

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as "Full stack developer" or similar role.
Experience working in agile organization
GCP certification (or similar cloud environment)
Direct experience with containerized environment (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.)
Working knowledge in an API-driven ecosystem, API design and development
Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Proficient in Agile Development and understanding/knowledge of JIRA
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
