    Boxx Technologies Engineering department is looking for a Cloud Engineer II located in Austin, TX.

    Position Summary:


    The Cloud Engineer will lead technical efforts to evaluate, test and deploy workstations, servers, virtual machines and other infrastructure to support a high-performance workstation as a service business serving professional content creators in the Architecture, Media and Entertainment and Engineering sectors.


    Experience:
    Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field7+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Systems Engineer, or equivalent

    Technical Knowledge:
    Virtualization with VMWare, Microsoft and Citrix

    Remote Desktop Technologies:
    Teradici, RDP etc.

    Microsoft Windows and Windows Server AdministrationMicrosoft Active DirectoryNVIDIA GPU virtualization and GPU pass through technologiesHigh Level Security Concepts including firewalls and secure network tunnelingLINUX - Various distributionsNetworking with Cisco (Meraki), pfSense, Juniper or Arista OSCloud integration with Azure, AWS or GoogleSkills and Abilities:


    Proficient with Microsoft Office and Office 365 ToolsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to apply concepts of basic addition, subtraction, division and multiplicationStatistical analysis knowledgeAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or inventory protocols and regulationsAbility to write reports and business correspondenceAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external groupsStrong overall verbal and written communication skillsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

    Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Ability to generate test plansAbility to generate test reportsAbility to configure computer systems, troubleshoot to the subassembly level, and interface with OEM vendors on issues related to hardware, software, and firmwarePhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    Lifting, pulling, pushing up to 25 pounds or moving, assisting and/or helping lift items or awkward weights


    Special Requirements:
    The ability to travel when neededThe ability to work remotely
