    Description

    Firetrol is a leading company in fire protection and safety services with a history dating back to 1984. Currently, we are in search of an Assistant Controller to become part of our team.

    • Oversee the monthly closing process.
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Supervise the Accounting Manager.
    • Assist in coordinating the annual external audit.
    • Manage Sales and Use tax compliance and audits.
    • Monthly preparation of Work In Process reports (POC's).
    • Review and validate monthly financial reports.
    • Prepare analytical reports.
    • Preparation/supervision of Sales Incentive reporting.
    • Handle Contract Job set-up information and Tax Forms.
    • Respond to documentation requests.
    • Maintain document control on internal projects to support improvement efforts and company goals.
    • Perform assigned duties efficiently.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Masters degree considered a plus.
    • CPA certification is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Public Accounting, especially Big 4, is advantageous.
    • Supervisory experience is beneficial.
    • Knowledge of Sales and Use tax regulations.
    • Understanding of Construction Accounting.
    • Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
    • Experience with Great Plains Accounting software advantageous.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
    • Effective time and resource management skills.
    • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Must be detail-oriented with excellent grammar and proofreading abilities.
    • Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
