Description

Duties:


  • You will support the PM and DPM to shape, develop, and manage holistic, integrated, and balanced solutions to address Fleet, Type Commanders (TYCOM), and SPM goals for Platform level lifecycle.
  • You will plan and coordinate for C4I/IT systems and capabilities in C3 Shore portfolio shore platforms, such as working with NAVIFOR and other TYCOMs, coordinating with NAVWAR 5.0, PEO C4I and other Participating Acquisition Resource Managers.
  • You will stay up on the latest C4I/IT tech, and work with industry partners to develop recommendations to leverage those technologies across the C3 Shore portfolio in order to achieve and maintain information superiority.
  • You will plan C3 Shore platform development, ensuring the portfolio properly incorporates Navy Enterprise Architecture efforts, identifying science and technology gaps, as according to Overmatch requirements and standards.
  • You will coordinate across NAVWAR, industry, DoD and other government activities to evaluate process and capability options, incorporating best practices to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness to deliver robust, resilient C3 Shore platforms.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications:


  • Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Administrative and Management experience at or equivalent to the GS13 grade level or pay band DP03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Leading disparate functional groups and developing a cohesive team capable of successfully handling complex problems; and continually monitoring program execution to overcome challenges and mitigate cost, schedule, and performance risks.

This position is in the Personnel Demonstration Project under authority of Title VII of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978.The pay schedule and pay band for all Demonstration Project Professional Positions will be DP-1/2/3/4.

If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position,
which is $139,176 - $167,012 (Base $104,604 - $125,526 plus 33.05% locality adjustment). DP-04, TIER 2 IS CAPPED AT A GS-14, STEP 7.

Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may or may not be authorized to eligible selectees.
