Position Overview:
As a Controls Engineer at Sterling Engineering, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining control systems that drive our [production/process] operations.
You will work with cutting-edge technology, including Allen Bradley PLCs and control panels, to ensure the efficient and reliable performance of our industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen Bradley PLCs and control panels.
Develop and maintain HMI interfaces for monitoring and controlling industrial processes.
Apply your expertise in pneumatics to optimize system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement control solutions.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to control systems to minimize downtime.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of control systems and processes.
Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
3-5 years of hands-on controls programming experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and control panels.
Strong knowledge of industrial controls and automation systems.
Proficiency in HMI programming.
Experience with pneumatics systems.
Background in OEM or foundry environments is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
