    About the Role:

    As an Environmental Grants Specialist supporting our Federal government client, you will join and collaborate closely with an Environmental and Historical Preservation (EHP) team supporting two nationwide Federal grants programs. You will provide pre-award planning and preparation for an application review process, guidance development, and general post-award support for monitoring and implementation.

    Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Assist in the development and refinement of EHP-related internal guidance and procedures for pre-award application reviews, final proposals, and program applications
    • Development of updated or new protocols and standard operating procedures
    • Updates to application form templates, review procedures, and guidance materials
    • Procedures for follow-up data and information gathering during curing stages
    • Support the enhancement of EHP-related guidance and procedures for post-award documentation review from grant recipients
    • Conduct EHP-related reviews for grant program submissions, ensuring compliance with the requirements outlined in the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and Federal agency review guidelines
    • Facilitate EHP-related data gathering and maintaining administrative records with precision
    • Uphold quality assurance practices and ensure the completion and accuracy of tasks

    Location:

    You will work as part of a dynamic team remotely. You will work at the client site dependent on contract requirements.

    Required Experience/Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 2+ years of professional experience
    • 1 year of experience developing EHP-related internal guidance and procedures for Federal grants programs
    • Experience with environmental regulatory compliance implementation, particularly pertaining to construction and infrastructure projects
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of and experience with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
    • Experience conducting grant application reviews and/or providing post-award grants management support
    • Experience supporting NEPA environmental assessments, federal agency NEPA categorical exclusions, state historic preservation office (SHPO) Section 106 consultations, or tribal consultations
    • Strong business analysis and quality assurance skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability
