Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the talent acquisition process which includes recruitment, interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants, collaborating with program managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Plans and conducts new hire orientation/onboarding to foster positive attitude toward YWCA Greater Harrisburg's Mission, Vision and Purpose
- Oversee performance issues, including working with managers on the process completing documentation, providing employee resources for improvement, and terminating employee when necessary
- Investigates employee issues and conflicts to bring them to resolution
- Reviews and updates YWCA Greater Harrisburg policies, procedures, and guidelines on an ongoing basis, ensuring the YWCA Greater Harrisburg's compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Processes FMLA and other extended leave requests in compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements
- Coordinates and conducts open enrollment sessions, and ensures timely completion of ongoing benefit enrollment(s) through the year
- Oversight of biweekly payroll processing and monthly pension eligibility enrollment
- Designs and implements employee retention/engagement strategies and activities
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and recent technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Required Skills:
- Master's degree preferred, will consider bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field with commiserate professional experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership within human resources field required
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP required
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, along with the ability to learn HRIS and payroll systems
- Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusion, collaboration, and teamwork
- Ability to form and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Pay:
$75, $80,000.00 per year
