    Your Impact

    Qualitrol Corporation is seeking a Materials Manager to drive excellence in Supplier Quality, timely Delivery, Cost Reduction, Supplier Management, and Inventory Management. This is a hands-on leadership role in a matrixed organization reporting to the Director of Operations. You will lead the sourcing and inventory of all direct and indirect materials, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost (landed). The Materials Manager will ensure that supplies are available for Fairport manufacturing team and will improve the flow of materials to strengthen the manufacturing process.

    Here's where you'll demonstrate your proficiencies:

    • Oversee and manage the purchasing of direct and indirect materials and services, ensuring that all procurement activities align with the company's goals and objectives.
    • Develop, lead, and manage a team of buyers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Create and execute a plan for every part, detailing the procurement, storage, and distribution plan to ensure smooth operations.
    • Assume a leadership role in guiding, educating, and advancing the KanBan system to optimize inventory turnover and eradicate instances of part shortages.
    • Serve as the first line of defense against discrepancies in cost, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all financial transaction coordinating efforts with Supply Chain team to match the company's established targets.
    • Manage overall inventory level and accuracy, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to support business operations without leading to overstocking or stock-outs.
    • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to forecast demand and plan procurement activities accordingly.
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with regulatory standards and company policies.

    The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

    · BA or BS in Business, Engineering, or similar field.

    · MBA or CPM preferred.

    · 5+ years of progressive experience in planning, purchasing, and inventory control within a lean manufacturing environment.

    · Familiar with Kanban system is a plus.

    · The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of personnel and production issues.

    · Strong desire to learn and drive lean principles.

    National: The salary range for this position is $83,800- $155,600

    This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

    Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
