    Nevada County Community Development Agency is seeking an experienced Senior Administrative Analyst to focus on recreation and climate related programs and projects in addition to other assignments. This is an advanced-level position where individuals, with little direct supervision, provide technical assistance with fiscal, program, and policy issues. Furthermore, individuals are expected to be knowledgeable in and be able to perform the full range of analytical duties in the office as required.

    Major duties include:
    • Manage Recreation and/or other budget and a broad array of programs and funding sources.
    • Prepare and present reports, resolutions, and ordinances
    • Prepare requests for proposals, contracts, and agreements
    • Serve as an internal management investigator, researching and analyzing facts and preparing recommendations for assigned projects
    • Review and analyze government operations and recommend changes
    • Prepare comprehensive written reports, answers questions from the public
    • Facilitate public meetings
    A Senior Administrative Analyst is an integral part of the County's team whose mission is to assist higher-level management on County priorities including grant management, contract administration and monitoring, fiscal oversight, special projects, and studies If you have skills in communicating tactfully and effectively with County staff, elected officials, and members of the public, that's a plus

    Education and Experience Required

    Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, economics, or a related field from an accredited college or university, and a minimum of three years of experience comparable to Nevada County's classification of Administrative Analyst II, which includes a broad range of analytical assignments. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted based on two years of experience for each year of education for up to two years of the required education.

    Retirement
    The County is a member of the CalPERS retirement system and provides the opportunity for voluntary contributions to a 457 deferred compensation account through Nationwide by way of pre-tax and Roth payroll deductions.
