- Lead the design, development, and implementation of our data platform architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Evaluate, select, and implement big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, etc., to optimize data processing and analytics capabilities.
- Design and implement data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources.
- Utilize cloud technologies and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to build and maintain scalable and cost-effective data solutions.
- Implement containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy and manage data platform components efficiently.
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale data platforms and infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer).
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
