    + **Location:** Remote with about 10%-20% travel - Living in one of our key markets is strongly preferred - This includes the St. Louis area, Nashville, Indianapolis, Chicago, or Austin

    **Responsibilities**

    As the Internal Communications Manager Associate Experience, you will develop and implement communications plans and campaigns that strengthen Ascensions culture, associate experience and operational priorities.

    **Responsibilities:**

    + Work closely with HR stakeholders and leaders to develop strategic priorities and create communications plans to achieve max associate engagement and understanding

    + Serve as communications strategist and manager for ABIDE, Ascensions framework of Appreciation, Belongingness, Inclusivity, Diversity and Equity to drive associate culture

    + Develop internal communications content, campaigns and events that support our operational objectives and our internal brand

    + Collect, share and leverage insights from data and analytics from communications campaigns, articles and media

    + Support and maintain intranet pages relevant to stakeholders and business priorities.

    + Manage and create content series that brings to life Ascension associate experience for internal and external audiences

    + Proactively identify trends, risks, challenges and solutions to process adoption, and lead and support change communication efforts

    + Combine strategic thinking and big-picture perspective with attention to detail, clarity and focus

    + Ensure that communications reflect the Mission, Vision and Values of Ascension as a healing ministry of the Catholic Church

    **Complexity of Work:**

    + Requires outstanding writing skills, critical thinking skills, strategic counseling skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

    + Must be able to work in a high-performance environment with changing priorities - flexibility is key

    + Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

    **Requirements**

    Education:

    + High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

    **Additional Preferences**

    **Education:**

    + Bachelor's degree. 10 years in an internal communications role, ideally with experience working in a healthcare provider system or similar services organization.3 years of leadership or management experience.

    **Work Experience:**

    + Experience with associate engagement and implementing large-scale change communications efforts

    + Ability to write communications plans as well as produce and edit engaging and visually appealing content using a variety of channels and media

    + Experience supporting senior leaders with strategic communications counsel

    + Experience planning and managing a coordinated content approach that directly impacts engagement of key audiences in support of our business goals

    + Strong collaboration skills with other team members

    + Proven driver and communicator across matrixed organizations, helping to gain internal buy-in and support

    + Experience with diversity, equity and inclusion communications preferred

    + Journalism or communications degree preferred.

    + Social media content and video experience a plus but not required
