This team has more than quadrupled in size over the past 18 months due to new contract wins, and continues to see increased demand from Boeing's customers.

Our team provides complete engineering solutions to Boeing and its customers, including systems engineering, optics design, mechanical design, algorithms, software development, firmware development, electronics, and advanced system modeling and simulations.

We are seeking both a Lead or Senior Structures and Integration Engineer in Huntington Beach, California with experience in the development of structures for space and airborne platforms to support the development of Payload Structures, Integration and Test Engineering for optical sensing systems.
Responsibilities will include supporting manufacturing engineering and electro-mechanical engineering integration activities.Candidates should have experience with all phases of structural engineering including a broad knowledge of design, stress analysis, certification, and engineering principles.
Candidates should also have experience collaborating with other Integrated Product Teams to execute strategy of growth, on-time delivery, and technical excellence as well as extensive experience in performing engineering work.
Position Responsibilities:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutionsEvaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfacesPerforms structural and integration engineering for entire lifecycle of the product including support of ConOps development and product design, development, and testProvides guidance and direction to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system designSupports project management activities including schedule development, status reporting and coordination of engineering and development activitiesInterfaces with customers, internal/external suppliers and partners and executive management for the purpose of technical collaboration, reviews and reporting of statusLeads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architectureLeads and coordinates analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission successLeads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, software configuration management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processesPlans and leads research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirementsLeads performance, integration, and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specificationsAssists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concept for future product designs to meet projected requirementsWorks under minimal directionThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry9+ years of experience in mechanical engineering9+ years of experience evaluating satellite system architectures and payload technologies for integration on to satellites9+ years of experience in software system integration and test9+ years of experience integrating designs from multi-skill teams (electrical, mechanical, software)
Experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams of junior and peer engineersPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):15+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceActive U.S.
