We are seeking a Lead or Senior Structures & Integration Engineer in Huntington Beach, California with experience in the development of structures for space and airborne platforms to support the development of Payload Structures, Integration and Test Engineering for optical sensing systems.

- Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry

- 9+ years of experience in the following: Mechanical Engineering, satellite system architectures and payload technologies, software system integration and testing, and integrating designs from multi-skill teams

- Candidates must have or be able to pass TSC

- Exp focusing on satellite/payload integration engineering

- Passion for being hands-on and designing/building in a lab

responsibilities:

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions

Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces

Performs structural and integration engineering for entire lifecycle of the product including support of ConOps development and product design, development, and test

Provides guidance and direction to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design

Supports project management activities including schedule development, status reporting and coordination of engineering and development activities

Interfaces with customers, internal/external suppliers and partners and executive management for the purpose of technical collaboration, reviews and reporting of status

Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture

Leads and coordinates analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success

Leads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, software configuration management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes

Plans and leads research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements

Leads performance, integration, and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concept for future product designs to meet projected requirements

Works under minimal direction
