Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an
Electronic/Technician Assembler to join our team in
Huntington Beach, CA.



Position Responsibilities:


  • Requires the layout, fabrication, integration, assembly, and installation of component parts on prototype developmental electrical and electronic assemblies, preparation, buildup, assembly, and soldering of electrical/electronic components on circuit card assemblies; mating Installing, terminating, reworking, and functional checking of various electrical/electronic units.
  • Operate various equipment for the breakdown of kitted compartments and material.
  • Works from engineering drawings, preliminary design drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, process specifications, photographs, overlays, engineering drawing bill of material lists, operation sheets, and other written and verbal instructions to determine, breakdown, and prepare correct method, sequence, layout, and position, assemble, secure, and solder components into completed electrical/electronic units.
  • Locate, setup, positions, and operate necessary processing equipment to prepare.
  • Locate position, assemble, secure, and solder components such as resistors, capacitors, terminal strips, switches, wires and wire harnesses, filters, and coils into predetermined location in circuit card or wire harness assemblies.
  • Perform processing, assembly, installation integration, modification, and rework operations on power supplies, telemetry units, data compiling units, missile guidance units, intra and interconnecting cable and assemblies using improvised or fabricated tooling.
  • Perform functional and related mechanical checks on assemblies and corrects malfunctions to adhere to company and customer specifications.
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications.
  • Setup and operate various types of equipment such as, hand and wave soldering, braiding machines, wire wrap machines, wire cutting machines, forming equipment digital volt meters, and electrical/electronic component welding equipment.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience do you have reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience do you have working in a laboratory with electronic parts and/or electronic materials.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience do you have with Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) component, Circuit Card Assembly, and Printed Wiring Board specification and quality requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • Is your current work location in the Southern California Region?
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience do you have with Measuring, and Evaluation of test equipment.

Typical Education / Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work/ military experience.


Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
