    Bishop Gadsden is searching for a Full Time Director of Information Technology (IT) Located on James Island, we are a not-for-profit, faith-based retirement community, affiliated with the Episcopal Church. Bishop Gadsden is known as the Southeast's leading life care retirement community. We are located just 10 minutes from downtown Charleston

    In this role, the Director of IT will maintain an effective and cost-efficient program for computer information systems including server, networks, and individually used computers and necessary peripheral systems.

    A TYPICAL DAY:

    • Lead and manage a team of 4 professionals
    • Develop and maintain a plan of supply and maintenance for computer systems, hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, which meets the needs of staff serving the community.
    • Prepare budget for function, submit for approval, and operate with annual approved budget.
    • Convenes and leads IT Governance Committee for review of all IT related projects and activities.
    • Assist community users as needed with program and systems questions and concerns.
    • Create and adhere to disaster preparedness and recovery procedures.
    • Participate in strategic planning efforts.
    • Maintain positive customer service relationships intra-departmentally as well as with vendors and other services.
    • Maintain competency in the hardware and software programs used throughout Community.
    • Assure compliance with all regulatory mandates including but not limited to HIPAA and Residents Rights.

    What We Need In A Candidate:

    • Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science, or related field and/or education and experience sufficient to complete the primary job functions.
    • Advance studies in network administration preferred, advanced skills in computer systems necessary.
    • At least 5 years experience in a people leadership role.
    • Experience in a Senior Living Community, preferred.
    • Availability to work a flexible schedule, depending on business need/urgency.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
    • Ability to read and comprehend the English language.
    • Adaptable organizational skills that allow for effective time management.
    • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds /-) and fulfill general physical duties of position.
