The Material Handler/Shipper is responsible for handling and processing all types of material received into the warehouse.They are responsible for ensuring that materials are maintained in their proper location and are available for use when needed, while accurately processing paperwork to ensure inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities Pick, pack prepare customer orders for shipmentProcess and record daily shipments in ERP systemUtilize UPS/Fedex/DHL and LTL software for shipmentsPrepare required documentation for shippingCoordinate and schedule freight pickup with carriersLoad outbound freightIssue call tags as requiredFile end of day shipping documentsProcess material and inventory transfers as neededAssist the teams with preparation for conducting physical inventory / cycle counts while conducting daily cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory recordsAssist as needed in warehouse activities Requirements Previous experience in a warehouse environment Familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipping systemsForklift certifiedStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsAbility to handle high volume of workProficient with Microsoft Office, primarily Word and ExcelExperience with LTL and import/export regulations will be a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work well within a team environment
