    Job Description:

    We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Sr. Software Engineer to contribute to the team responsible for wifi driver/firmware development. Ideal candidates are seasoned engineers with a background in embedded systems, preferably experience in the areas like device driver, linux kernel and WLAN protocol. This position is located at our San Jose, CA location. We offer a great environment to get exposed to a wide range of technology. Our team works closely with ASIC, DSP, system engineers, and we participate in the full product lifecycle from pre-silicon all the way through to full software reference designs.

    The specific responsibilities of this position include:

    • Design and develop new wifi driver/firmware features for WLAN networking products
    • Enhance transmit power control, including regulatory, SAR and closed-loop and open-loop power control algorithms
    • Participate in architecture and design for new generation solution
    • Debugging and fixing bugs for issues in existing products
    • Maintain and enhance existing software architecture
    • Experience with customer engagements, be able to work & replicate customer issues in the lab environment,
    • Root cause HW & SW issues in customers setups, provide patches fro HW & SW issues
    • Provide on-going HW & SW support to existing customers, answer customer technical questions

    Job Requirements :

    • BS in CS/EE with 12+ years of related experience, or MS in CS/EE with 10+ years of related experience
    • Proven experience in working on device driver development
    • Fluent in the C language, assembly and embedded debugging
    • Strong knowledge/experience in embedded firmware development
    • Experience in PCIe driver, PCIe IPC protocols, PCIE analyzer, logic analyzer
    • Strong technical leadership skills and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent analytical skills, particularly in the realm of software debugging
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills
    • Imaginative, motivated, and able to work effectively under pressure
    • General knowledge of wireless networking, Layer-2, Layer- 3 & Layer-4 (TCP& UDP)
    • Deep experience with linux kernel and networking driver

    Additional Job Description:

    Compensation and Benefits

    The annual base salary range for this position is $126,000 - $210,000

    This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
