- Follows the direction of the Sr.Transportation Manager to schedule all outbound shipments and keeps all constituencies informed of any and all changes.
- Publishes & distributes a daily/weekly/monthly order delivery matrix for all outbound shipments.
- Works with Info Central to ensure all outbound orders are in on time.
- Works with Routing to develop a pick and loading plan for all outbound containers and LCL freight.
- Obtains booking numbers and/or Bills of Lading for all outbound shipments.
- Directs Transportation on all equipment needs to ensure all containers are picked up from the respective steamship or barge service and ready for loading.
- Directs the picking times and loading plans for all outbound shipments.
- Trains others to ensure load plans are documented and a final version is forwarded to the respective branch or Customer.
- Identifies the root cause of all discrepancies. Communicates any over, short, damage or discrepancies to all involved.
- Acts as the inbound coordinator for all returns and transfers from the neighbor island branches back to Honolulu, keeping all constituencies notified of what and when shipments are due in.
- Manages to continually improve the process.
- Operates lift truck, pallet jack, or other equipment in the warehouse.
- Performs similar and related duties as assigned by the Sr. Warehouse Manager.
- Uses the Companys Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.

Position Summary Description:
Coordinates the efforts of Info Central, Routing, Transportation, Night and Day warehouse operations and branches to ensure the accurate and efficient movement of all outbound shipments from Honolulu to the Neighbor Island Branches or Customer.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Education/Training and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
One year of general office experience, preferably in warehousing, shipping, food service, or purchasing.
Communication Skills
Must possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to communicate with internal and external associates in an effective, professional, and persuasive manner.
Other Skills
Must be able to perform basic to moderately difficult mathematical functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, averaging and percentages.
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Familiarity with AS 400 or similar highly preferred.
Ability to be organized, multi-task, and be very flexible with changing priorities.
Uses common sense in problem solving and decision-making.
Able to exercise critical thinking skills to problem solve and decision-make.
Must be able to successfully complete in-house forklift certification test.
