    Description


    Summary/ObjectiveThe Billing Specialist will provide administrative and clerical support by billing all transactions required, specifically creating invoices and issuing them to our clients.

    In this role enter data, certify the accuracy of invoices, issue billing adjustments, process past due invoices and interface with customer service on customer inquiries according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.

    This position is based in Illinois South of Elgin and West of O'Hare.

    Essential FunctionsProcess all billing transactions using the Company portalsProduce billing reminders and communication with customersCommunicate with the accounting department to address billing adjustmentsAssist in resolving collections by coordinating contact with collections departmentProtect organization's value by keeping information confidential

    CompetenciesEnsures compliance with all company policies, procedures and business ethics and ensures that the policies are communicated and implemented within their teamKnowledge of basic accounting principlesProficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programsHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentialityExcellent data entry skillsEffective organizational, communication and time management skillsAbility to work independently or as a team memberExcellent customer service

    Education and ExperienceAssociates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.1-3 years accounts payablesKnowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirementsQuickBooks experience preferred

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are variable and based on business need. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    Physical Requirements

    This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic.
