    Description

    Job Tasks

    • Performs internal financial, incur costs, and risk management audits
    • Assess current and future financial operations in order to improve efficiency
    • Examines financial transactions to determine whether costs were incurred within the contractual Period of Performance (PoP) and prepare work papers that can be easily reviewed
    • Examines records to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, agreements, and policies
    • Other Duties as assigned
    Qualifications/Education
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields
    • At least 2-4 years of experience in auditing
    • Auditing, preferably with federal or state government grant programs
    • Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
    • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Principles, AASHTO audit guide a plus
    • Strong Microsoft Excel experience; Proficiency with MS Office - Word, Outlook
    • Strong analytical, team-oriented, and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude
