- The PA will have a general knowledge and understanding of all technical areas including but not limited to rigging, lighting, audio, carpentry and fly rail. PA must be knowledgeable of OSHA, and industry standard safety regulations and practices and ensure that such standards and practices are employed at all times to ensure the safety of our employees, contractors, performers, visitors, and guests.
- The PA will be knowledgeable and certified to safely operate a variety of lifts, including house manlifts, scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts.
- Assist in the setup and teardown requirements for events, the operations and maintenance of audio and visual equipment, computer equipment, theatrical lighting and other theatrical equipment.
- Assist event Planners in the execution of technical aspects of events including rigging, stage design/sets, and lighting, giving highest priority to life safety.
- Effectively communicate and partner with other event services staff to ensure the overall integrity and quality of event set up and execution where cooperation and cross departmental involvement is required.
- In the absence of the Production Manager, assumes responsibility for the smooth, high quality, customer -service functioning of stagehand labor.
- While on duty, ensure that all the equipment in use is in proper working order, provide maintenance as needed, and coordinate with Production Manager and Engineering Department, to support inventory control, storage, and maintenance of owned production level equipment. Always maintain organized and clean storage rooms and backstage/service-hall areas
- Provide support for production oversight and cover Production Manager shifts for events as necessary.
- May provide support to operations team on functions requiring unusual technical understanding and ability such as high cleaning/dusting or repairs where knowledge and use of lifts are necessary.
- Demonstrate ability to work safely on ladders, lifting loads of 50 lbs. and up, and able to work at heights.
- Promote customer service and be able to communicate effectively with clients while maintaining the integrity and professionalism of the building.
- Ensure that all Classic Center policies and best practices are being followed during load in, event and load out and, when necessary, stop work that is not properly accounting for safely measures.
- PA shall remain current and up to date on all safety training both for themselves and the people they supervise.
- Role will adhere to professional dress and appearance in accordance with the facility policy while befitting an active role of this nature.
- Work in-house events and manage labor crew while being on site for events that require specific pre-determined technical assistance.
- Hours will vary and will be dictated by the nature of events and department priorities. Hours will regularly include nights and weekends.
- Maintain an effective partnership and active communication with the engineering staff of the building. Make sure engineering staff are present for electrical/power hook-ups. Notify Production Manager or Engineering when equipment problems are identified.
- Assist Production Manager to ensure that all CCA production related equipment is kept in good repair.
- High School diploma, Associate's degree preferred with evidence of technical theatre related training. Theatrical experience may substitute for degree.
- Supervisory, time management, attention to detail, and human relations skills
- Working knowledge of all types of audio/visual equipment to include but not limited to:
- Sound Boards/Audio systems operation/Sound Engineering
- Rigging processes & best safety practices (professional training is preferred)

- Live Entertainment Trussing
- I-Mag Equipment (cameras, switchers, screens, etc.)
- Fly rail operation
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, understand instructions and follow detailed procedures and directions consistently.
- Must have ability and willingness to work long hours when needed and to work highly irregular hours, including late nights and weekends.

JOB TITLE: Production Assistant
FLSA STATUS: Part Time
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Production Assist (PA) is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, proper storage, organization, and overall controls of technical production equipment while on duty. PA is responsible for executing planned work across multiple production areas for all styles of events when and where needed including conventions, conference, socials, and theatrical events. The Production Assistant must provide clear and effective communication regarding technical applications to all co-workers, clients, and event promoters. PA will report to the Production Manager and work with event coordinators, GM's, and clients to produce safe events while accomplishing the event goals. Position may assist in the advance of events and in various assistive tasks leading up to and on the event day. Position will supervise local stagehand labor to produce impressive, efficient, and professional events always keeping industry best practices and safety at the forefront.
TYPICAL WORK ROUTINE INCLUDES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
