    Title: Sr Billing Specialist

    Location: Chicago

    Salary: Sr Billing maximum 90K / Billing maximum 82K

    Hybrid: Yes, 3 days onsite / 2 days WFH

    Bachelors degree:Preferred

    CANDIDATES MUST HAVE 3E/ELITE EXPERIENCE FROM A LAW FIRM NO EXCEPTIONS

    Thorough knowledge of e-billing system(s) required.

    Senior Billing Specialist will have the following:

    5+ years billing experience in a law firm

    Can handle more complex and various types of billing for high profile attorneys

    Review and analyze reports

    Enter rates and split billing

    Billing Specialist will have the following:

    3+ years billing experience in a law firm

    The Billing Specialist will be responsible for compiling, managing and executing attorney billing in the accounting department.

    As the Billing Specialist, your job duties will include but are not limited to:

    • Review and bill attorney hours and disbursements to clients
    • Review and edit proformas in response to attorney and secretary requests
    • Apply retainer funds as directed by attorney
    • Process write-offs following Firm policy
    • Ability to execute complex bills in a timely manner
    • Ability to understand Exception rates, Discounts, Multipayor, and Electronic Billing
    • Ability to handle high volume of bills per month
    • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with attorneys, secretaries, and clients
    • Review and verify accuracy of billing and provide supporting documentation as required
    • Research and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues and problems
    • Create billing reports and spreadsheets for analyses as required
    • Organize and maintain billing files
    • May assist in preparing documentation for exhibits in court
    • Review and enter new Clients and Matters into the billing system
    • Perform Special projects as assigned
