    HBT GmbH, headquartered in Luenen, Germany, is a world-class machine manufacturer and fully integrated single solution provider specializing in systems and equipment for underground coal mining.

    The company exports its high-performance longwall mining equipment to all major mining markets worldwide, strategically located in 15 countries. The core HBT facilities have the capability for research, development, design, manufacturing, and testing of longwall mining equipment in-house.


    Position Purpose:
    This position is North American based role, located in the Pittsburgh, PA area. HBT is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant.

    Job Summary

    As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for performing accounting transactions, reviewing financial data, consolidate financial reports, and assist with other accounting transactions as needed.


    Responsibilities:
    Prepare journal entries, develop and analyze cost standards, and reconcile accounts in SAP and supporting systems.

    Work cross-functionally to resolve intercompany discrepancies as they arise.

    Prepare a month-end consolidated intercompany matching schedule.


    Assist in preparing the consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring the results are complete, accurate, and delivered timely.

    Assist with financial reporting tie-outs and other special projects as needed.

    Support other internal management reporting and statutory reporting requests.

    Work cross-functionally on special projects.

    Assist with AP, AR and inventory projects as needed.


    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

    Minimum five years of accounting background, experience in public accounting a plus

    Understanding of intercompany transactions, foreign currency translation, and topside adjusting journal entries

    Knowledge of US GAAP accounting policies and processes

    Experience working with different legal entities and subsidiaries of a parent company in an accounting role.

    Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and confidently deal with people at all organizational levels.


    Desired Qualifications:
    Solid data analysis and problem-solving abilities, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

    Advanced user of all Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Project, etc.) and knowledge of SAP.

    Pay:
    $60, $90,000.00 per year
