Optimus seeks an efficient and detail-oriented Senior Accountant. This is a full-time, salaried ($82,320-$92,880) position, to be based in Pittsburgh, PA.The successful candidate will assist the Controller in the daily processing of a variety of accounting and other financial related transactions, as well as account reconciliations, special projects and general process/internal control improvements as the company grows.

ResponsibilitiesComplete month end balance sheet reconciliations.Complete monthly cash account reconciliations.
Oversee bill and expense payment process, including manual check processing and automated ACH bill payments.
Assist in the implementation of purchasing process with operations team, from PO creation to reconciling of incoming merchandise and vendor invoicing.
Participate in annual budgeting process.Create various monthly journal entries to assist with 7-10 business day month end close.
Assist with various tax related functions including customer sales tax status, multi state sales & use tax tracking, and submission of a variety tax returns and forms.
Capture, classify and file permanent company financial records in a digital format.Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for various agencies.
Participate in and support various internal control process improvements to maximize efficiency.
Assist in other special projects and/or duties as assigned.
Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting4-6 years of relevant experienceSignificant experience with Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks Online, comfortable with Microsoft Suite, and G-SuiteAttention to detail coupled with a sense of urgency and efficiencyStrong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills; an ability and desire to take ownership of ones' workloadProven track record of successfully working independently as well as in a team settingExhibits strong written and verbal communication skills, and an understanding of the importance of handling confidential information appropriately.
