    The Role: Under the direct supervision of the Director of IDEA, the Disabilities Grant Project Coordinator serves as the project manager for a federally funded, multi-year collaboration between WEAVE and the Society for the Blind. The goal of the collaboration, Shared Vision Sacramento, is to transform the member agencies' capacity to empower survivors of interpersonal and/or sexual violence who are Blind/Low-vision in the Sacramento Region by creating comprehensive policies and procedures, equipping staff with client-centered, trauma-informed training, fostering an organizational culture of awareness and inclusion, and developing resources and educational tools to be used by the agencies. The Coordinator is responsible for moving the collaboration through the implementation phases of the project, based on an established strategic plan and approved objectives and activities. In addition, the Coordinator is the primary contact for WEAVE's Technical Assistance provider and staff from other Office of Violence against Women (OVW) Disabilities Grant Program funded projects. To achieve a range of objectives over a multi-year project period this role requires a self-motivated individual with project management experience, an ability to effectively engage stakeholders, and strong writing skills.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in public health, human services, communications, public administration, or related field and at least two years' experience in project management. Experience in fields providing disability services or violence prevention is highly preferred.
    • Excellent writing, organization, project management, time management, and analytical skills
    • In depth knowledge of accessibility and accommodations.
    • In depth knowledge of various community-based approaches to domestic violence and sexual assault intervention, prevention and systems change work.
    • Experience in developing programs for underserved/unserved, and populations at high-risk of sexual assault survivors.
    • Skilled, diplomatic, collaborator and facilitator.
    • Prior experience working with unserved and underserved communities.
    • Prior experience with public speaking, community outreach and coordination of trainings required.
    • Passion for and commitment to leading and coordinating team efforts.
    • Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating programs, including balancing the value of both process and outcome.
    • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office, and Outlook.
    • Complete WEAVE's 69-hour classroom peer counselor training (post-hire requirement) and attend amount of required continuing education to maintain certification.
    • Provide copy of valid California driver license, have reliable transportation, and submit current proof vehicle insurance.
    • Satisfactory results from DOJ background check (post-hire requirement).

    Compensation: The wage range for this position is $27.42-$32.27 per hour.
