    Mapleton, IL OR Layaffette, IN

    Job Duties/Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To


    This position will be accountable for coordinating the total Assembly Planning functions using CAPP+ documentation including manufacturability from concept/design through the steps of assembly production.


    Incumbent will also be responsible for workstation design adhering to the CPS structure, including 5s and waste elimination, during the development of a paced production packaging assembly process.

    Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline AND 1 year of relevant experience OR

    Associate degree in engineering discipline AND 3 years of relevant experience OR 5 years of relevant experience

    Proficiency with MS Office; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

    Ability to design, evaluate, and modify fixtures/tooling for manufacturing

    Can establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently

    Top Candidates Will Also Have

    4 years of Caterpillar experience.

    Have working knowledge of FMEA& SPC, Project Management, Lean

    Manufacturing, Error Proofing, and Root Cause Analysis

    Proficiency with Computer-aided design software such as Creo and AutoCAD

    Experience working in CAPP+ documentation

    Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and project planning skills
