- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in project execution, ensuring proactive measures are taken to maintain project timelines and objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project performance, analyze data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that production engineering projects adhere to the established quality standards.
- Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication within the production engineering team and across departments, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and successes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. PMP and related professional and industry certifications is preferred.
- 7-10 plus years of proven experience as a Project Manager in a production engineering role, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- In-depth knowledge of production engineering processes, manufacturing methods, and quality assurance standards. Practical knowledge and experience using lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Project Manager, Production Engineering is responsible for overseeing and managing projects within the Production Engineering department, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing operations and driving continuous improvement. Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems. Provides technical support for the engineering process. Collaborates with other engineering departments and coordinates their specialized contributions to the development of the project. Designs, implements, and communicates, an operational plan for completing the project. Monitors progress and performance against the project plan. Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project. Prepares engineering designs and work specifications. Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
