Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Head of Accounting to oversee all financial aspects of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. This is a key leadership role that requires expertise in both public and private accounting practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including accounts receivable, budgeting, and regulatory reporting - Interpret financial reports to provide insights and recommendations to senior management - Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards - Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits - Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets - Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making processes
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred - Proven experience in public accounting or private equity environment - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including double entry bookkeeping - Familiarity with affordable housing programs such as LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail - Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage a team This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to lead our finance team and drive the financial success of our organization.
