    Description

    LHH is working with a booming real estate company in the Dallas area that is adding a new Lead Corporate Accountant to their team. In this role you will support the accounting functions for designated properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability and innovation in a dynamic, expanding environment.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Supervise Property Accountants and oversee their tasks and deliverables.
    • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Manage multiple properties in the company's portfolio.
    • Provide guidance and training on technical topics such as revenue recognition, insurance claim accounting, and budget preparation.
    • Address inquiries from Property Managers and assist with annual budget preparation.
    • Coordinate lender reporting and review cash analyses.
    • Prepare month-end reporting packages and analyze budget variances.
    • Maintain annual work papers for tax returns and external audits.
    • Contribute to departmental process improvement initiatives.
    • Assist the Vice President with special projects as needed.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
    • 4+ years of Real Estate property-level accrual basis accounting experience.
    • 1+ years of management experience.
    • Preferred experience in property accounting.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Entrata, MRI, or Yardi software is advantageous.
