Description
As the Senior Accountant, you will oversee and manage the daily functions of the accounting department, which include but are not limited to, payroll preparation, accounts receivable/accounts payable, financial analysis, bank reconciliations, and providing support for the preparation of financial statements and the year-end audit.

Philadelphia, PA
Compensation :
$90,000-$100,000 (depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
Cash Receipts Management:
Oversight of the meticulous recording and management of all incoming cash transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
Bank Reconciliation:
Responsible for reconciling company bank records with internal accounting records, promptly addressing any discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
Payroll Administration:
Diligent management of employee compensation, benefits, and deductions, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely resolution of payroll-related inquiries.
Monthly and Year-End Financial Processing and Closure: Leadership in coordinating the comprehensive monthly and year-end financial closing processes, including reconciliation, adjustment, and preparation of financial statements for accurate reporting.
Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements and Reports: Proficient compilation and analysis of financial data to generate insightful monthly reports and statements, facilitating informed decision-making by stakeholders.
Assistance with Year-End Audit:
Collaborative support for external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with auditing standards through thorough documentation and responsive communication.
General Ledger Management:
Accurate recording of financial transactions into the general ledger system, maintaining data integrity and facilitating transparent financial reporting.
Special Projects Oversight:
Proactive involvement in diverse projects or initiatives as required, leveraging financial expertise to drive process improvements and support strategic objectives as they arise.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance is required
At least 5+ years of experience in an accounting role
Experience in a legal role is highly preferred
Proficiency in Aderant
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with attorneys and support staff
Capacity to assume leadership and effectively resolve issues.
