    Description


    The 5 Hour Energy Information Technology Team has an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Engineer within the Information Systems group.

    In this role you will partner with other business units to help deliver a robust, high-availability server architecture that spans both on premise and cloud-based computing.

    The IT Systems Engineer uses technical knowledge to solve business problems through a systematic and disciplined approach. This position employs software, hardware, and/or communication technologies to accomplish assignments.


    Through familiarity with emerging computer and cloud technologies, coupled with industry recognized best practices, you will have the role of helping to provide a robust compute environment to our business.

    Core Competencies
    working knowledge of Microsoft's Windows Server product portfolio

    working knowledge of Veeam backup technologies, data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery architectures for both on-premise and in-cloud systems.

    proficiency in the management of on-premise Microsoft Active Directory and multi-tenant Microsoft Azure based environments.

    working experience with VMWare configuration and management, including vCenter, vSphere and HA (High Availability) Clusters; with demonstrated work with the migration of Microsoft VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) environments to VMWare.

    in the provisioning and operation of enterprise storage arrays, fiber channel storage networks, and cloud-based backup and disaster recovery architectures.

    experience and success with high availability server environments and cloud architectures
    orchestration using InTune, and familiarity with PAM (Privileged Access Management).
    Linux experience in corporate Desktop and Server environments preferred.

    Requirements
    with hybrid cloud environments
    with VDI to VMWare migrations, configuration, and management
    in VMware, and VDI environments
    in Backup and Recovery (Veeam)
    with enterprise storage arrays and fiber channel storage networks
    with high-availability compute environments
    with configuration management tools, including Powershell
    with network protocols such as NFS, SMB, FTP, BIND DNS & SMTP

    Qualifications from the following are preferred.
    associate degree with 3+ years of related, or relevant work experience.

    Azure Solutions Architect

    Certified Professional (VCP)
    Certified Engineer (VMCE)
