QUALIFICATIONS:

***1. High School diploma or GED preferred


  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Available for overtime per rotating schedule
  • Available for cross - training with other departments
  • Mechanical aptitude
6. 3 years or more related experience preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


A. Tasks and Duties

  • Safety - complies with all written and verbal safety rules of the
plant and department including the use of personal protective

equipment.


  • Complete housekeeping assignments per schedule.
  • Perform all assigned job duties.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Route Checks.
  • Troubleshoot line.
  • Assist Area Coordinator.
  • Other duties as assigned by Area Coordinator.

B. Machinery and Electrical Devices Used
***1. Forklift


  • Material handling system.
  • Overhead cranes
  • Hand tools
  • Scales
  • Calculator

C. Physical and Visual Activity Required

Physical
***1. Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and the like

using feet and legs and / or hands and arms.


  • Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine
and waist


Example:
changing paper in printer, copier machine.


  • Kneeling, bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
  • Crouching, bending the body downward and forward by bending
leg and spine.


  • Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Example:
giving signals, reaching for material or handle on item.


  • Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time

Example:
making copies, giving presentations, directing traffic.


  • Walking, moving out on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for

  • Lifting, raising objects from a lower to higher position or moving

  • Fingering, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working

temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of

  • Talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word,
via face to face or telephone.


  • Hearing, perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40 db
Ability to receive verbal communication and to make fine

discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on

machined parts.


  • Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when
walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically

moving surfaces.


  • Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
  • Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul
or tug objects in a sustained motion.


  • Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with
steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

**Visual

  • Machine operation, inspection, close assembly, clerical and
administrative duties


Example:
preparing and analyzing data

entry, CRT exposure, extensive reading, visual inspection

involving small defects, small parts, using measurement devices or

fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.


  • Mobile equipment operations, operate cars, trucks.
  • Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and
perception.

**D. Work Environment Conditions

  • Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions
not necessarily temperature conditions.


  • Outside environmental conditions, no effective protection from
weather.


  • Inside and outside environments apply.
  • Subject to extreme cold, temperatures below 32 degrees for periods
of more than one hour.


  • Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for
periods of more than one hour.


  • Subject to noise causing reason to shout in order to be heard above
the noise level.


  • Subject to hazards, such as moving machinery, electrical currents,
falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, high heat or

combustible materials.


  • Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by orders,
fumes, gases, poor ventilation and dusts.


  • Subject to oils and other cutting fluids via touch or air.
