    Description
    Insight Global is looking for a Principal Engineer to join an experienced remedial design engineering team in California.

    As the chosen candidate, you will provide technical leadership, business innovation, and serve as the Engineer of Record for projects in California with a focus on remediation system design for groundwater and soil.

    You will also have opportunities to lead engineering projects across the United States and internationally, and work with our technical communities of practice.

    You must be a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California.

    As a leader in remediation system design, you will collaborate with our Engineering & Treatment Systems community of practice to develop and deploy transformative delivery strategies that utilize modern design software and adapt to the changing technology landscape.

    You will join our engineering leadership to mentor and grow our team of talented engineers-in-training.

    The organization of our company facilitates your access to design management support, multidisciplinary licensed engineers, and remediation experts across Arcadis to enable your success.

    Our project portfolio is constantly growing, and we need you to deliver our increasing number of Engineering & Treatment Systems projects.

    The amount of time you routinely work remotely or in an office is based on your preference, project needs, and successful mentoring.

    Travel to project sites and meetings is approximately 10% of your time but will vary throughout each year depending on project needs.


    Role accountabilities:
    *Provide technical leadership for our clients and engineering staff.

    *Deliver engineering projects using your demonstrated understanding of engineering principles combined with modern design tools, including Autodesk Construction Cloud.

    *Serve as the Engineer of Record on remediation projects that include technologies to that remediate petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, PFAS, and other emerging contaminants.

    *Maintain an awareness of the rapidly changing design software landscape and participate in digital delivery optimization efforts.

    *Use excellent communication skills to represent Arcadis to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.

    *Provide technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of a project from strategy development to design basis reports, design packages, and construction administration in dynamic stakeholder environments.

    *Exercise sound decision making to deliver informed technical solutions

    *Perform engineering reviews and provide key input on critical projects

    *Apply engineering principles develop effective solutions to our clients' biggest challenges
