    Doppelmayr USA is seeking an experienced and results-driven Supply Chain Manager specializing in Logistics and Purchasing to lead and optimize our supply chain processes.

    Based in Salt Lake City, UT, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for strategically managing the procurement of materials and overseeing the logistics operations to ensure a seamless and efficient supply chain to support on-time project completion.

    Responsibilities:

    Strategic Procurement:
    Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with company goals.

    Identify and assess potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong vendor relationships.

    Optimize procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.


    Logistics Management:
    Oversee transportation, distribution, and warehousing activities; manage overseas container transportation.

    Implement best practices in logistics operations to minimize costs and improve delivery timelines.

    Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize inventory levels and reduce lead times.


    Supplier Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality and reliability.

    Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

    Resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing in a timely manner.

    Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate with internal teams, including Production, Engineering, Construction, and Finance, to align supply chain activities with organizational objectives.

    Participate in implementing process improvements to enhance overall company efficiency.


    Risk Management:
    Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

    Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market conditions affecting the supply chain.

    Resolve purchasing and logistics issues as they arise and escalate issues that cannot be resolved in a timely manner.


    Performance tracking:
    Develop and utilize key performance indicators (KPI's) to track supplier performance and use KPI's to manage supplier relationships.

    Develop and utilize KPI's to track key metrics and improve performance in Logistics and Procurement.


    Review the performance of direct reports in Purchasing and Logistics and identify opportunities and develop plans to improve the performance of individuals and the departments.


    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.


    Experience:
    Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience (required).

    Global supply chain and overseas shipping experience is a plus.

    Experience managing and leading direct reports (required).

    Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

    Familiarity with manufacturing processes.

    Cost accounting experience is a plus .

    Familiarity with ski lifts is a plus .


    Qualifications:
    Proficiency in use of IFS or similar ERP software.

    Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to work independently.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Strong leadership capabilities.

    Schedule:
    Typically 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday

    This is a salary position, so some evening and weekend work may be required to ensure on-time execution of projects


    Work Location:
    This is an in-office position in Salt Lake City, UT 84104

    The successful candidate must be able to reliably commute to the office to report to work
