  • What you will be responsible for:
  • Providing courteous and helpful service to World Courier customers and consignees in Lake City, MI.
  • Picking up and delivering goods as requested.
  • Ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed by customers/consignees.
  • Using initiative to anticipate and address any potential delivery issues.
  • Keeping the Dispatch Officer updated on delivery progress and any delays.
  • Driving safely and maintaining company vehicles.
  • Preparing shipment boxes as needed.
  • Monitoring packaging materials and notifying the Operations Supervisor when supplies are low.
  • Being available for overtime during busy periods and requesting additional duties during slower times.
  • Completing airport duties as directed, including import and export tasks.
  • Working occasional weekends as scheduled.
  • Maintaining an ample supply of packaging materials and labels.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Current driver's license and good driving record.
  • Familiarity with the Lake City, MI area.
  • Friendly and proactive attitude towards customers.
  • Knowledge of cold chain management and basic DG (dangerous goods) regulations.
  • Ability to balance a sense of urgency with attention to detail.
  • Proactive problemsolving skills.
  • Dependability and accountability.
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to provide exceptional service.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Solid German language skills and some English proficiency.
