    Job DescriptionSalary: $30-$40/hourly

    We are looking for a Government Proposal Specialist who will be responsible for identifying, researching, and pursuing government contracts and proposals related to translation and interpretation services. This role involves a combination of research, proposal writing, contract management, and organization to support our mission of expanding our government client base.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Government Proposal Development: Create, write, and edit persuasive and compliant proposals and bids for government contracts, ensuring that they align with client requirements and regulations.
    2. Market Research: Conduct research to identify potential government contract opportunities, track industry trends, and analyze competitor activities.
    3. Government Relations: Build and maintain professional relationships with government agencies, contracting officers, and other relevant stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences. Act as the primary liaison and point of contact for the contracting officer.
    4. Proposal Organization: Manage all aspects of proposal development, including documentation, deadlines, and submission requirements.
    5. Contract Maintenance: Oversee the lifecycle of government contracts, including contract negotiation, compliance, and reporting.
    6. Bid Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and compile all required proposal components, such as pricing, technical specifications, and qualifications.
    7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of proposals, contracts, and correspondence with government agencies. Generate reports and update internal databases as needed.
    8. Kickoff Meetings: Lead kickoff meetings with the team to initiate proposal development, clarify objectives, and establish roles and responsibilities.
    9. Goal Setting:
      1. Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the number of proposals to bid on a monthly and quarterly basis.
      2. Monitor and improve the win rate for government contract proposals.
      3. Collaborate with the team to establish and achieve annual revenue and growth targets.

    Qualifications:

    • Possess a strong understanding of government procurement processes and contracts, including familiarity with GSA (General Services Administration), CMAS (California Multiple Award Schedules), and other relevant procurement vehicles, ensuring compliance and maximizing contract opportunities.
    • Demonstrate the ability to think ahead strategically, anticipating future government contract opportunities and proactively positioning the company for success.
    • Employ a data-driven approach to decision-making, leveraging metrics and analytics to optimize proposal strategies, contract performance, and client relationships.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in government proposal writing and contract management, ideally within the translation and interpretation industry.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Highly organized with excellent project management abilities.
    • Proficiency in using proposal management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong research and analytical skills.
    • Maintain a sense of urgency in all aspects of the role, efficiently managing proposal deadlines, client communications, and contract obligations to meet or exceed client expectations and organizational goals.
